Football Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marquette can now relate to. They came up short against the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons on Saturday, falling 28-6. The Crusaders were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Falcons' defense proved too tough.

Anthony Couch threw for 78 yards and one touchdown. Blayden Cassel was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Marquette moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
