The home team had won the previous four meetings between Marengo and Harvard, and Marengo kept the tradition alive. The Indians walked away with a 6-2 win over the Hornets on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Hornets two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Marengo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Harvard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Marengo has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Prairie Ridge on the 10th. As for Harvard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Dundee-Crown on the 10th.
