Basketball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison lost against Roosevelt last Sunday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Edison Tommies had to suffer through a 82-55 loss at the hands of the Roosevelt Teddies. That's two games in a row now that the Tommies have lost by exactly 27 points.

Roosevelt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Obie E Esparza out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Calvin Peterson, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 23 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Roosevelt, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Edison has already played their next matchup (against Minneapolis Southwest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-62 loss against North Community on the 15th.
