Basketball Game Preview: Arcanum Trojans vs. Preble Shawnee Arrows

Arcanum is 1-6 against Preble Shawnee since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trojans will take on the Arrows at 7:30 p.m. Arcanum will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Saturday, Arcanum beat Cedarville 44-31.

It was another big night for Cameron Ball, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Jace Mote was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Preble Shawnee played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 62-41 to Edgewood. The Arrows were down 50-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Arcanum's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Preble Shawnee, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Arcanum came up short against Preble Shawnee in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 58-53. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
