Basketball Recap: North County Comes Up Short

It was fun while it lasted, but North County's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 66-50 to the Lackey Chargers. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Leading Lackey to victory were Isaiah Mansaray and Malik Gordon. Mansaray went 8 for 20 on his way to 25 points, while Gordon posted 15 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Gordon has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Nguessan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

North County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Lackey, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

North County will be taking part in a tournament against Chesapeake Science Point at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Lackey, they will take on Annapolis in a tournament on December 27th.
