Basketball Game Preview: Kewaskum Indians vs. Lomira Lions

The Kewaskum Indians will square off against the Lomira Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Kewaskum has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Lomira will arrive with six straight wins.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 102-46, which was the final score in Kewaskum's tilt against West Bend West on Friday. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lomira). They claimed a resounding 83-39 victory over North Fond du Lac. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Orioles are ranked 392nd), the result last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kewaskum's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lomira, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Kewaskum didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lomira in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory.
