Recap: Holcomb Longhorns vs. Pratt Greenbacks
The Holcomb Longhorns entered their tilt with the Pratt Greenbacks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Holcomb enjoyed a cozy 35-20 win over Pratt on Friday. This was payback for Holcomb, who suffered a 47-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Damon Mesa got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 252 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Mesa is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played.
Despite the loss, Pratt still got an impressive performance from Max Younie, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 140 yards and a touchdown.
Holcomb's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points per game. As for Pratt, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Holcomb will face off against Cheney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cheney has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 408 points over their last nine matches. Pratt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
