Basketball Game Preview: Hodgeman County Longhorns vs. Osborne Bulldogs

The Hodgeman County Longhorns will square off against the Osborne Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hodgeman County saw some tournament action on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-17 win over Northern Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Kylee Reece had a dynamite game for Hodgeman County, going 10 for 13 on her way to 21 points and three steals. Those 21 points gave Reece a new career-high. Ashlynn Beil was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven steals and six boards.

Meanwhile, Osborne didn't have too much trouble with Ness City on Monday as they won 38-22.

Hodgeman County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Osborne, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Hodgeman County was able to grind out a solid victory over Osborne in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 54-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hodgeman County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
