Basketball Recap: Chapmanville Regional Comes Up Short

Chapmanville Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 58-32 to the Sissonville Indians. The Tigers were down 46-19 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Sissonville had a senior duo take command as Kynadee Britton dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds and Makaela Ullman dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Britton has scored at least a third of Sissonville's points. Another player making a difference was Ana Soblit, who posted two points and five boards.

Chapmanville Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Sissonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Chapmanville Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sissonville, they will challenge Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sissonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
