La Cueva is 8-2 against Eldorado since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The La Cueva Bears will welcome the Eldorado Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

La Cueva is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Sandia, who was ranked third at the time (La Cueva was ranked tenth). La Cueva fell just short of Sandia by a score of 67-64 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since January 11th.

Meanwhile, Eldorado strolled past Manzano with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

La Cueva's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20.8 points. As for Eldorado, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Everything went La Cueva's way against Eldorado when the teams last played back in January, as La Cueva made off with a 79-55 victory. Will La Cueva repeat their success, or does Eldorado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
