Basketball Game Preview: Ennis Lions vs. Corsicana Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ennis Lions take on the Corsicana Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Ennis and 11 for Corsicana.

Last Tuesday, Ennis came up short against Midlothian Heritage and fell 51-44.

Meanwhile, Corsicana was beaten by Red Oak 76-46 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1030th, while the Hawks are ranked 93rd).

Ennis' loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Corsicana, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Ennis came up short against Corsicana in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 45-38. Can Ennis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
