Basketball Recap: Sale Creek Skates Past Lookout Valley with Ease

There's no place like home for Sale Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets 63-21 on Tuesday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Madilynn Ellis was a one-woman wrecking crew for Sale Creek as she went 8 for 13 on her way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most points Ellis has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Williams, who posted six points and six steals.

Sale Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Lookout Valley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sale Creek will head out to challenge Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lookout Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Copper Basin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
