Basketball Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short

Eagle River lost against Kenai Central back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagle River Wolves fell 32-20 to the Kenai Central Kardinals. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabby Palazzini was Eagle River's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Beverly Reed held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. Katherine Christy took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kenai Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Eagle River has already played their next game, a 39-29 loss against West Valley on the 24th. As for Kenai Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-44 victory against Soldotna on the 24th.
