Soccer Recap: NCSSM: Morganton Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last contest, NCSSM: Morganton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Sugar Creek Charter on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 8-0 shutout. Ford Butner was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

NCSSM: Morganton now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NCSSM: Morganton will square off against Avery County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carolina International at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sugar Creek Charter will be up against Carolina International's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.89 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
