McCutcheon waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Kokomo Wildkats. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 victory the Wildkats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Haley Peterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaidynn Peckinpaugh, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Miller, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
