Baseball Recap: Hemet Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Jacinto Valley Academy on Monday, Hemet came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 14-5 to the Moreno Valley Vikings on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Hemet saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derrick Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Hemet's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Moreno Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Hemet nor Moreno Valley have any future games scheduled.
