Preview: Olympus Titans vs. East Leopards
Olympus is 8-2 against East since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Olympus Titans will head out on the road to square off against the East Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Olympus is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Olympus came up short against Alta and fell 51-40.
Despite the loss, Olympus got a solid performance out of Joss Baker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keily Trabanino, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, East took a serious blow against West on Friday, falling 83-30. While losing is never fun, East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while West is ranked 23rd).
Olympus' defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for East, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Olympus against East in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 80-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olympus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
