Brody Villa-Castilo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Villa-Castilo was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Zach Martin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Jayden Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Wheat Ridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Montbello, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
