Basketball Recap: South Wasco County Extends Winning Streak to Six

South Wasco County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the North Lake Cowboys 36-34. For the Redsides, this counts as revenge for the 55-40 victory the Cowboys walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

South Wasco County has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for North Lake, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 12-1 record.

South Wasco County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 36-34 win against North Lake/Paisley on the 24th. North Lake has also already played their next game (against Chiloquin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
