It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Duplin had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Camden County Bruins 8-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won 13 matchups in a row.

North Duplin let Gracelyn Higginbotham and Lilly Fulghum run wild. Higginbotham went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Fulghum went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Marissa Bernal, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Duplin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.

North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Camden County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

North Duplin has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Rosewood on the 15th. Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
