Hutchison is a perfect 10-0 against Galena since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Hutchison and 11 for Galena dating back to last season.

Hutchison came up short against Nome-Beltz on Friday, falling 3-0.

Hutchison took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Galena lost 3-0 to Delta last Saturday.

While Galena was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Delta's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Galena, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Hutchison's way against Galena when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Hutchison made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hutchison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
