Baseball Recap: Eagleville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eagleville entered their tilt with Mt. Pleasant on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Eagles have won 11 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Sweeney looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Eagleville let Spencer Robbins and Brody Gleason run wild. Robbins scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Gleason went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Robbins a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Maddox Bouldin, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Eagleville's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Eagleville will venture away from home to take on Huntland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will welcome Lewis County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
