Baseball Recap: East Iberville Takes a Loss

East Iberville's last matchup with St. James could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The East Iberville Tigers came up short against the St. James Wildcats, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

East Iberville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cardez White, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

East Iberville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. James, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Iberville will take on Plaquemine at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. James, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats face off against Covenant Christian Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something St. James surely won't give up without a fight.
