Volleyball Recap: Clover Takes Down Ridge View in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clover walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ridge View Blazers on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Blue Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 21-25, 25-15.

Bryn Turlington had a dynamite game, getting 16 digs and four aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (seven).

Turlington wasn't the only good servers: Clover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Clover's victory bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Ridge View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11-1 record this season.

Clover will venture away from home to take on Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridge View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
