Recap: Eastern Hancock Royals vs. Randolph Southern Rebels
The Eastern Hancock Royals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Randolph Southern on the road to the tune of 75-44. Eastern Hancock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Eastern Hancock was led to victory by Sammie Bolding and McKenzie Koch. Bolding scored 24 points along with two steals, while Koch scored 19 points along with seven assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bolding has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ruby White, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Randolph Southern's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Allen, who scored eight points along with two steals. Haileigh Allen was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Randolph Southern struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory (which was Eastern Hancock's sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Randolph Southern, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-7.
Eastern Hancock will take on Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Randolph Southern, they will head out on the road to challenge Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Anderson Prep Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
