Uvalde waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars a 3-0 shutout. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Uvalde's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Floresville, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.

Coincidentally, Uvalde and Floresville will both be playing Pleasanton the next time they take the pitch. Floresville will head out to face Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Uvalde will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th.
