Baseball Recap: Douglas County Takes a Loss

Douglas County's last matchup with Chaparral could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Huskies lost 10-2 to the Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bricen Moore was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Douglas County has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Chaparral, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Douglas County has already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Highlands Ranch on the 16th. As for Chaparral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Heritage on the 16th.
