Basketball Recap: Genoa Central Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Genoa Central won the last time they faced Bismarck and things went their way on Monday too. The Genoa Central Dragons snuck past the Bismarck Lions with a 59-54 win. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Lions are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Genoa Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Bismarck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genoa Central will head out to face off against Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Bismarck, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bismarck Lions take on the Magnet Cove Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
