Recap: Lennard Longhorns vs. Newsome Wolves
Even though the Lennard Longhorns have not done well against the Newsome Wolves recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lennard came out on top against Newsome by a score of 61-54. For Lennard, this counts as revenge for the 68-48 loss Newsome walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Arcadian Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Nigel Roseboro, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lennard's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Newsome, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Lennard will be playing in front of their home fans against Plant City at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Plant City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lennard in Florida (Plant City is ranked 114th, while Lennard is ranked 500th). As for Newsome, they will head out on the road to take on Bloomingdale at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
