Volleyball Game Preview: James Lick Comets vs. Lincoln Lions

James Lick is 0-4 against Lincoln since February of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m.

James Lick is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Gilroy.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Overfelt by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Lincoln had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-8, 25-22.

James Lick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

James Lick couldn't quite get it done against Lincoln when the teams last played back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
