Soccer Game Preview: Peotone vs. Lisle

The Peotone Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Lisle Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Peotone will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Peotone is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Beecher. That's two games straight that Peotone have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Lisle kept a clean sheet against Horizon Science Academy-Southwest on Friday. They blew past the Huskies 11-0. Lily Rocha was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Lisle's victory bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Peotone, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Peotone was able to grind out a solid victory over Lisle when the teams last played on May 5th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
