Softball Recap: Wauseon Triumphs

Wauseon won the last time they faced Evergreen and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Breah Teal spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. She also tossed two walks, marking her first of the season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bella McGuire, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Aubrianna Everly was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Wauseon now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Evergreen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Wauseon and Evergreen will both be playing Patrick Henry the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Vikings will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th.
