Basketball Recap: Jackson Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Adams-Jerome back in December of 2024, Jackson Christian came back down to earth. The Jackson Christian Royals took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Athens Indians. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Jackson Christian still got an impressive performance from Rennie Huff, who posted 28 points and six steals. That was a full 62.2% of Jackson Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Boll, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.
