Baseball Recap: Hillel Academy Takes a Loss

Hillel Academy saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of the Torah Academy of Bergen County Storm by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Heat have lost by just one run.

Ezra Goldberg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hillel Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Itskowitz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hillel Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Hillel Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Berman Hebrew Academy at 1:30 p.m. Torah Academy of Bergen County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
