Basketball Recap: White Station Skates Past Ridgeway with Ease

White Station won the last time they faced Ridgeway and things went their way on Friday too. The White Station Spartans breezed by the Ridgeway Roadrunners to the tune of 55-26. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White Station got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Pruitt out in front who went 7 of 15 on her way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Anderson, who posted ten points and six steals.

White Station pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Ridgeway, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

White Station will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trezevant at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Ridgeway will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Lausanne Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
