Volleyball Recap: Sacramento Adventist Comes Up Short

Sacramento Adventist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves. The Capitals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-13.

Sacramento Adventist's offense was headlined by Ava Spencer and Melody Rudge, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Gwen Rosich and her five assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Sacramento Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sacramento Adventist will square off against rival John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
