Volleyball Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short

Deer Valley saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Head-Royce Jayhawks by a score of 2-1. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

JACKSON BOGGS-JONES paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up 16 kills. BOGGS-JONES got some help from BRYANT MARTINEZ and his 19 assists. Finally, BOGGS-JONES was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Deer Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Head-Royce, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Deer Valley and Head-Royce will both be playing Dublin the next time they take the court. The Jayhawks will head out to face the Gaels at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
