Softball Recap: Vasquez Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vasquez can now relate to. They fell just short of the Irvine Vaqueros by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vasquez's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for Irvine, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Vasquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvine, they will challenge Lakeside at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
