Basketball Recap: Lowry Buckaroos vs. Spring Creek Spartans
Lowry lost against Spring Creek back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lowry Buckaroos fell 65-53 to the Spring Creek Spartans. While the Buckaroos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 13-9 in the first quarter.
Spring Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Scott Bylund, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Bylund is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayden Francis, who posted ten points along with eight boards and five steals.
Lowry's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Spring Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Lowry will venture away from home to face off against Churchill County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
