Baseball Recap: Fossil Ridge Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Fossil Ridge finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rocky Mountain Lobos, falling 7-1. The contest marked the SaberCats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fossil Ridge got a good showing from Brek Benedict, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Fossil Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Bradford, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The loss snapped Fossil Ridge's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-4 record. As for Rocky Mountain, their record is now 9-4.

While Fossil Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
