Football Recap: New Brunswick Comes Up Short + How To Watch

New Brunswick lost against Rahway back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Zebra had to suffer through a 41-6 loss at the hands of the Indians. While losing is never fun, the Zebra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Indians are ranked 118th).

It was another big night for Andrew Avent, who rushed for 240 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries for Rahway. Avent really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

New Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Rahway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, New Brunswick will challenge Governor Livingston at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Zebra are facing the Highlanders at the right time seeing as the Highlanders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rahway, they will face off against Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
