Basketball Recap: Melvin Conteh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Norman Thomas over Stuyvesant + How To Watch

Norman Thomas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stuyvesant Peglegs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Peglegs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Norman Thomas' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melvin Conteh, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 10 points along with six boards and four blocks. Conteh is crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Marcus Quinones was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Norman Thomas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
