Football Preview: Arlington Admirals vs. Carmel Rams
The Arlington Admirals will head out to square off against the Carmel Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up four on Friday.
Last Friday, Arlington ended up a good deal behind Scarsdale and lost 35-21.
Despite their defeat, Arlington saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jayden Tuttle, who picked up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Arlington also got help from Cartier Joshua, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Arlington wouldn't let Scarsdale keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Arlington can thank Raj Thomas and Michael Lucido for forcing both of them.
Meanwhile, Carmel posted their biggest victory since November 3, 2023 on Friday. Everything went their way against New Rochelle as Carmel made off with a 32-6 win. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Huguenots are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arlington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Carmel, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
