Basketball Game Preview: Girard Indians vs. Salem Quakers

Girard and Salem are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Girard Indians will be playing at home against the Salem Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Girard lost to Poland Seminary at home by a 48-32 margin. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 59-48 to Carrollton. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 616th, while the Warriors are ranked 198th).

Girard's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
