Basketball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Takes a Loss

Bald Eagle Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders 74-41. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Marauders are ranked 39th).

Bald Eagle Area's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bald Eagle Area will face off against Chestnut Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chestnut Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Bald Eagle Area likes a good challenge.
