Basketball Game Preview: Ripley Warriors vs. Yale Bulldogs

Ripley is 10-0 against Yale since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ripley Warriors will square off against the Yale Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ripley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-25 win over Stroud. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Yale can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-18 victory over Olive.

Ripley's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Yale, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Everything came up roses for Ripley against Yale in their previous matchup on January 14th, as the squad secured a 65-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ripley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
