Softball Recap: Juniata Valley Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Juniata Valley's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Penns Valley Area Rams on Tuesday. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Braelyn Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Juniata Valley now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Penns Valley Area, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Juniata Valley will head out on the road to challenge Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Penns Valley Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
