Lincoln-Way Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 19 straight wins... but they left with 20. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fremd Vikings a 1-0 shutout. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Fremd's batters probably weren't too happy with Lisabella Dimitrijevic, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 17 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Dimitrijevic has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sadie Scofield was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Lincoln-Way Central pushed their record up to 31-1 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Fremd, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 25-5 record.
