Softball Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

West Valley came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Big Bear Bears by a score of 15-13 on Wednesday. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

West Valley got a massive performance out of Tatiana Alexander, who went 1-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Ioane, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Even though they lost, West Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Big Bear, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

West Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-15 loss against Citrus Hill on the 20th. As for Big Bear, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-10 victory against Avalon on the 22nd.
