Baseball Recap: Pittsburg Pirates vs. Heritage Patriots        
        
		
            
 Pittsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell just short of the Heritage Patriots by a score of  4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pittsburg of the  6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Tuesday.
  Aaron Del Real was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Niko Fuentes, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Pittsburg  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only tossed three.
 On Heritage's side,  Alonzo Alvarez was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Pittsburg's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-6. As for Heritage, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will  square off against Liberty at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Pittsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to  take on  Freedom at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
